"torne" is a digital terrestrial broadcast recorder kit for PS3.
Since the introduction in January 2010, with its unique features that were not availabe in traditional appliances, such as
super-fast UI, PSP connectivitiy, and TV program popularity indicator using the network,
"torne" has gained phenomenal popularity, especially among the internet media.

One of the key factor that lead to such a unique product is that the "game development perspective" was applied.

Intuitive user interface with distinctive look and feel, simple menu navigation that doesn't require instruction manual,
achieving 1/60 frames rendering to ensure control responsiveness - these are some of the game development perspective
that has been poured into realizing "torne".

The session will cover from project launch to completion, and until now, tracing the history to introduce examples of where
game development know-how has worked well, as well as to introduce problems and technical challenges that were encountered,
and how they were solved, to present the superiority that game development has on the user interface, and what the future of this is going to be.
